February 4 - Lab 2: Code up Lambert's Problem solver, including planetary ephemerides for Mars and Earth. Use your code to evaluate C3 at launch and Vinf at arrival for launch dates of Aug. 5, 2005 and Aug. 20, 2005 (pick a few arrival dates). You can use Rodney's Lambert Solver to check your answers. You will then use your solutions in order to plan an Earth-Mars trajectory using STK during the next lab.

February 11 - Generate a porkchop plot for the 2005 Earth to Mars opportunity. Use Earth departure dates from JD = 2453550.0 to 2453649.0 and Mars arrival dates from JD = 2453736.0 to 2454035.0.
